A book of condolence for the victims of the Paris terrorist attacks has been opened in Derry.

At least 127 people were killed last night when eight Islamic State terrorists launched suicide bomb and gun attacks at six locations across the French capital.

Over 300 people were injured, 80 of them critically

Seven of the attackers blew themselves up while the other was shot dead by French police.

The book of condolence (pictured) was opened this afternoon in the Guildhall by Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council, Cllr Elisha McCallion.

A vigil in support of the victims will be held in Derry’s Guildhall Square on Monday night.

Organised by the Derry Anti War Coalition, it is also being held in support of the people of Lebanon following Thursday’s bomb explosions which killed 50 people in a residential area of Beirut.
