THE next hurdle in Derry's championship season comes in the form of either Louth or Meath. After tamely bowing out of Ulster against rivals Tyrone, the Oak Leafers must once again navigate the 'scenic route' to Croke Park.
This Sunday at Parnell Park (3.30) Meath will take on Louth in the Leinster championship. Damian Barton will be a likely spectator, scouting for nuggets of information.
The Oakleafers face the losers of Sunday's game at an unconfirmed Derry venue on Saturday week (June 18) in the All-Ireland Qualifiers.
Ex-Derry manager Paddy Crozier is on board as part of Louth's backroom team, giving an interesting permutation should Meath prevail this Sunday.
Saturday June 18
Derry v Meath/Louth - All-Ireland SFC (Derry Venue)
Sunday June 19
Antrim v Derry - Ulster SHC (Venue TBC)
Derry v Armagh - Ulster MFC (Clones 12noon)
