Derry songwriter, guitarist and singer Paul Casey will return to his home town next week to take to the stage of The Playhouse for an intimate acoustic evening featuring fellow band mate Karen Porter on cello.
Casey (pictured) is being talked of among Ireland’s new music followers as one to watch out for.
He's constantly in demand in his home country, performing for enthusiastic fans with a challenging near-daily schedule.
The hard work has paid off as his songwriting, guitar playing and distinctive voice are set to cause quite a stir on both sides of the Atlantic.
With his latest album, ‘Somebody I’m Not’, he has raised the bar yet again with a collection of stunning new tracks showcasing masterful production and songwriting.
He will perform an intimate evening at The Playhouse on Saturday, 4 June at 8.00pm.
“Casey feels at home in the theatre where his laid back style of songs connect with the audience instantly” Áine McCarron, Theatre Programmer at the Playhouse said.
“There will be a brand new studio album released in the summer and this will be a great opportunity to hear some new renditions of those songs plus many old favourites!”
Support on the evening will be from local singer/songwriter Martin Sweeney and Sean McTaggart.
Tickets are £10 and are available from The Playhouse Box Office on (028)71268027 orwww.derryplayhouse.co.uk.
