A Derry cancer sufferer has thanked the Sperrin Unit at Altnagelvin Hospital for the threatment he received there as a patient.

Ivan Parkhill and his wife, June, from Milltown View, presented the Unit with a cheque donation of £3,600 in appreciation for the care and treatment he received.

The money was raised from a Vintage Tractor Run, consisting of 48 tractors travelling over 14 miles, on Saturday 9 April in and around the Claudy area.

The Parkhill family thanked anyone who contributed to the fundraiser and to all those who gave up their time raising sponsorship and being at the event.
