City of Derry Spartan Allan Bogle will start favourite to win the O’Cahans 5 Mile Trail race taking place in Limavady today.
The event will take participants on a scenic route through Roe Valley Country Park, covering the majestic trails and interesting forest paths along the River Roe.
Bogle (pictured) was victorious in the last Northern Velocity event, the Eglinton Trail Race at the back end of last year and should again start here.
It’s hard to look past the Derry man as a potential winner after his strong outing at the recent NI & Ulster Masters Cross Country Championships, although the international runner and orienteering specialist may come up against training partners Scott Rankin, Chris McGuinness and Pius McIntyre, all from neighbouring city club Foyle Valley AC.
