City of Derry picked up a hugely significant win in the race for the AIL Division 2B title today at Judges Road.
Terry McMasters' men, league leaders, came from behind to see off second placed Highfield in an entertaining game, which looked like it could have gone either way for long stages.
A try from Simon Logue saw Derry come from behind to lead 7-3 at half time before Cronin responded to put the visitors 10-7 ahead just minutes into the second period.
But it was all Derry from that moment on, and tries from Andrew Semple (2), Stephen Corr and Simon Logue gave Derry not just the win, but an added bonus point which could prove decisive come the end of the season.
