Members of the public have been advised to make a journey only if it is absolutely necessary as Derry begins to feel the full force of Storm Frank.
Gale force winds have resulted in trees being brought on the main road in Pennyburn Industrial Estate in the city.
Staff from the nearby Brunswick Cinebowl complex are working to clear the obstruction (pictured).
Traffic is being diverted through the adjacent Translink depot.
The Peace Bridge across the River Foyle has been closed and high sided vehicles have been banned from the Foyle Bridge where a 30 mph speed limit has been imposed.
With an amber alert in place until tomorrow morning, police are advising people only to make a journey only if it is absolutely necessary advising those who do have to travel to be “extra careful” on the roads.
