Derry’s rising musical star SOAK is in the running for a major European award.
SOAK has been put forward as the Irish nominee for the 2016 European Border Breakers Awards (EBBA), the European music awards for emerging artists.
SOAK is the alter ego of singer-songwriter Bridie Monds-Watson.
The 19-year-old Derry woman has taken the musical world by storm in recent years.
She was also recently nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize.
People are able to vote for who they think should won the 2016 EBBA.
The winner of the competition will be announced in the Dutch city of Groningen on January 13.
