A new outreach centre has been opened in Derry by the Church of Ireland’s Bishop of Derry and Raphoe.
Rev Ken Good (pictured) cut the tape to formally open “Another Chance” at Glendermott Business Park in Tullyally.
“Another Chance”– a ‘not for profit’ operation – is the first venture of its kind in the Tullyally area and seeks to provide a unique, innovative, spiritual, Christian-focused space.
In addition to the rails of charity goods and refreshment area, there is a prayer room where patrons can reflect in silence.
Speaking at the opening, Bishop Good congratulated the parish team and clergy in Glendermott and Newbuildings and thanked God for planting the “concept, vision and dream” of “Another Chance’.”
The Bishop prayed that the new venture would enrich the lives of local parishioners and the wider community.
Twenty per cent of the proceeds from the first day’s trading is to donated to the BBC’s Children in Need Appeal.
