Several hundred people have attended a rally in Derry tonight held in support of the people of Palestine.
The event, held at Free Derry Corner, was organised by Ogra Shinn Fein in the city to send a message to Israel and the wider international community that its “military aggression” was not acceptable.
Among the speakers was Jo Bird (pictured) of Jewish Voice for Just Peace.
Messages were also read out from families in Gaza who had lost loved ones.
The rally followed a call from Sinn Fein MEP Martina Anderson on the United Nations Security Council to intervene in Palestine.
She said: “Each day that passes, more innocent lives are lost as is any hope to reach a peaceful two State solution of the future.”
