Residents in the Culmore area of Derry are being called on to make their views known on proposed plans for their local Post Office
The call comes from Sinn Fein councillor for the area, Tony Hassan.
He was speaking after being contacted by Royal Mail informing him they were currently undertaking a “programme of investment and transformation” across the Post Office network which they said would make their branches “more modern and convenient.”
Cllr Hassan said: “They are talking to Postmaster at the Culmore office about changing it to one of their new –style local branches.”
“One of the changes would be extended opening hours.”
Cllr Hassan concluded: “It’s important that if anyone has views on this to make it known.”
