Derry City have been given a home draw against Salthill Devon in the second round of the Mark Farren Under-17 Cup.
The game is to be played at Brandywell on either Monday or Tuesday, 1-2 August next.
The SSE Airtricity League has named the competition in honour of the late Derry City striker who died in February last after a lengthy battle against a brain tumour. He was aged 33.
The Airtricity League has named the competition in his honour in an effort to recognised his contribution to Irish football.
As well as Derry City, he also played for Finn Harps, Monaghan United and had spells with Tranmere Rovers and Huddersfield Town.
Derry City have retired his No 18 shirt and are to name the new stand to built at Brandywell in his honour.
The competition was launched by Republic of Ireland international, James McClean, who played alongside Farren during his time at Brandywell, and Stephen Kenny, the former Derry City manager.
