Swatragh were stung by a late Daniel McKinless goal as Ballinderry snatched victory at Davitt Park on Wednesday night.
The Shamrocks opened with two early points but Swatragh controlled the game for long periods and by half time were 0-6 to 0-5 ahead.
The first half was an exhibition of free kicking from James Kearney and Dermot McGuckin.
After the break Ballinderry had goal chances but a combination of over-elaboration and stout defending kept them at bay.
The home side punished them with a fine individual goal from James Kearney after support play for Eugene McGuckin putting them 1-8 to 0-5 ahead.
Ballinderry threw everything they had into the final quarter and points from McGuckin and substitute Ronan Devlin reduced the gap to a single point.
It proved to be a precarious lead when a Swatragh defensive pass was intercepted and fell to Daniel McKinless who raced clear for the winning goal.
