The Live Life Lisa Orsi Foundation was officially launched at An Culturlann in Derry.

The Foundation is a legacy project to honour the memory of Lisa Orsi and to celebrate her amazing enthusiasm for life, her love of Gaelic Games and her unquenchable thirst for travel and adventure.

Lisa (pictured) was only 22 years old when she died in March 2015.

A few months earlier, she had been a member of the Singapore Lions Ladies Gaelic Football team that won the senior cup at the Asian Gaelic Games in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

As a pilot project, the Live Life Lisa Orsi Foundation is taking a group of young people from GAA clubs in the North West to this year's Asian Gaelic Games which will be held in Shanghai, China in November.

The Live Life Lisa Orsi Foundation aims to make the trip - which embodies Lisa's own approach to life, encapsulating her love of Gaelic games, travel and adventure - inclusive and accessible.

The young people selected to travel will contribute towards the cost of the trip and be actively involved in the Foundation's ongoing community fundraising activities to encourage a positive attitude to sports participation and health and wellbeing.

The Foundation also aims to promote an increased awareness of the need for organ donors and of the Kevin Bell Repatriation Trust.
