Extra fire crews were called after a fire spread several terraced houses in the Strathfoyle area of Derry yesterday.
The initial appliances attending fire in a roofspace at Parkmore Drive requested extra resources to attend to deal with the incident just after noon..
A covering jet, two main jets and a hosereel jet were deployed and an aerial appliance was also utilised as several roofspaces were involved.
A spokesperson for the Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service said smoke alarms “actuated” but the occupants already aware of the danger at the time.
