Three men are due to appear in court today charged in connection with the paramilitary display at the funeral of Strabane man Michael Barr on Thursday last.

The dissident republican (pictured) was shot dead in Dublin last month.

Six men from Derry are believed to be among the 15 men arrested by police following the funeral.

At least one home in the city - in the Circular Road area of Greggan - was searched by police in a follow-up operation yesterday morning.

Twelve of those arrested have been released pending reports to the Public Prosecution Service.

The three who remain in custody are due to appear at a special sitting of Omagh Magistrates Court today charged with wearing clothing or having articles as members or supporters of a proscribed organisation.
