A clean-up of the beach at Culmore Point on the outskirts of Derry will take place this weekend.
The two-hour clean-up has been organised by Surfers Against Sewage (SAS).
Anyone interested in taking part is asked to meet at the Culmore Point lighthouse at 11.00am on Saturday.
It is the latest beach clean-up along the Foyle carried out by SAS following similar initiatives at Magilligan yesterday and Downhill on Tuesday of last week.
The Culmore clean-up coincides with a number taking place across Britain, including some of England’s best known beaches at Bournemouth and Brighton.
Surfers Against Sewage is an environmental charity protecting Britain’s oceans, waves and beaches for all to enjoy safely and sustainably, via community action, campaigning, volunteering, conservation, education and scientific research.
