Remember…. Clocks GO FORWARD tonight

Clocks will move forward by an hour tonight to officially mark the start of Summer Time.

Clocks will be moved forward by an hour at 1.00am which is good news for those on night shift as they have an hour less to work and bad news for those who enjoy a lie-in on a Sunday morning, as they get an hour less in bed.

Clocks are moved forward on the last Sunday morning in March every year and put back again at 2.00am on the last Sunday in October.

The time change was first introduced in 1916 during the First World War and was aimed at saving fuel and giving people more time to work in the fields.
