A late, late goal from Stephen Mills earned Institute a hard fought 1-0 win over 10-man Newington in their IFA Intermediate Cup quarter-final clash at the Riverside.
With the game set to head for penalties, Mills headed home the winner with less than five minutes remaining in extra time.
Earlier, the usually reliable Shane McGinty (pictured) missed a golden opportunity to put the home side in front six minutes into extra time but he missed with a free header from five yards out.
McGinty had the ball in the back of the net early in the second half of extra time but his effort was ruled out for offside.
The Championship Two side were reduced to 10 men in the 34th minute when Conal Burns was sent off for an alleged headbutt on McGinty.
