Students from a Derry school are warming up their musical chords and preparing for a special musical performance in aid of local charity Action on Hearing Loss.
Pupils from Oakgrove College will perform at the “Music in the Mall” event taking place at Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre in the Waterside on Friday week, 2 October, from 2.00pm to 5.30pm.
Moira Bergin, Head of Music from Oakgrove College said the students were looking forward to supporting the charity event.
She added: “They hope that lots of people will find out about the charity and donate money to it as they listen to them perform.”
Student Holly Rose (pictured) has been performing to raise money for charities since she was ten years old and is delighted to support “Action Hearing Loss.”
She is in the process of recording her own album.
A singer/songwriter, she performs both with guitar and piano, performing at different venues around Derry.”
Action on Hearing Loss will also have an Information Stand at the Lisnagelvin Shopping Centre during the performance for those who wish to find out more about the charity and the local services it provides.
