Derry professional boxer Tyrone McCullagh put in a stunning performance to record a sensational first round win over Antons Zacests in Belfast’s Europa Hotel tonight.
McCullagh hurt his opponent with a body blow early on, forcing the Latvian to take a standing count.
Cheered on a by large support from his home town, McCullagh kept up the pressure forcing Zacests to take another standing count before the referee stepped after a minute and 47 seconds to prevent him taking any further punishment.
The victory makes it three wins out of three in the professional ranks for the Derry southpaw.
