Young Enterprise students from the North West area will be kicking off the New Year with a January Sale of their own from 10.00am to 1.00pm at Foyleside Shopping Centre in Derry this Friday.
The Trade Fair will see companies started by young people from across the city
showcase their products and offer shoppers something different to traditional retailers.
Young entrepreneurs taking part in the Team Programme have made a particular impact this
year.
The Tuned In Project and The Playtrail are both involved, giving young people with learning disabilities the opportunity to start their own business.
The group from the Tuned In Project have created mini light boxes, in a range of colours, while The Playtrail companies have put together ‘Grow your own’ flowers kits and fairy doors, complete with fairy dust.
Schools from all over the city will set up shop to sell products including phone accessories, handmade ceramic gifts, personalised frames, and children’s books.
On the day, the students will not only have to impress customers, but a panel of judges also, with a variety of awards up for grabs, including a Social Media award.
