Derry police probe suspicious approach to young boys

Police in Derry have revealed they are investigating a suspicious approach to young boys in the city.
.
It was reported that at approximately 6.45pm on Monday last, two young boys were in the Mugga pitch near Campion Court in the Gobnascale area of the Waterside when a silver car with two men on board pulled up and shouted to them to come over, however both ran off home.

A police spokesperson has appealed to anyone who may have witnessed the incident to contact Waterside Neighbourhood Team on the non-emergency number 101.

They are also asking the male occupants of the car to contact them as they may be able to help them with their enquiries.

The spokesperson added “If someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
