Police in Derry are appealing for information about a number of weekend burglaries and car thefts in the city.
The first of the burglaries occurred in the area of Prehen Park at about 2.30am on Sunday last in which car keys were taken from a house and a grey Honda Accord driven away.

In this same early morning period, intruders got into a house at Helen Street, off Creggan Hill, and stole the keys of a Toyota Auris, which was driven away.
At about 5.00m, police received a report that the Honda and the Volkswagen had been spotted stuck in mud at Baldrick Crescent in the nearby Rosemount area, where several males spent about an hour trying to get them free.
Both were subsequently recovered, however the Toyota remains outstanding.”
